Self-initiated project. Creation of an elegant and organic for Sycomore, an architecture firm that builds ecological and luxury homes in the heart of nature. The concept for this project was based on the sycamore tree’s seed pod as a symbol of nature, growth, and protection.The seedpod was created using textured graphic crepe paper which I inserted into the Sycomore name. I came up with a baseline placed underneath. I chose warm, natural colours — ashy orange and brown — to represent the cozy feel of the inside of the pod. Anthracite gray and silver gray evoke the architect’s pencil, suggesting simplicity and technical precision.The typeface is called Arquitecta, an elegant and contemporary sans-serif font and humanist interpretation of the geometric forms of the 1920s.
