Concept
The play explores the profound social and economic shifts unfolding in Russia at the turn of the 20th century. A poster centred on the motif of a whirlwind, symbolising social upheaval and inevitable change. The swirling form was created using watercolour ink, allowing for fluid movement and organic texture. A fresh, fruit-inspired palette that contrasts vermilion and deep plum to evoke tension and transition.
